Web 2.0

I must say the Web 2.0 project was very interesting project. In the beginning I was kind of stumped, but once I got into it and got the hang of it it became fun! I really enjoyed using glogster and voki. These were to programs that I was very unfamiliar with and had not every heard of. I actually shared my voki's that I created with my students. They were just as amazed as I was. I took them through the steps of creating the voki and teaching the voki to talk. I will definitely  be using this in my classroom!! Over all I enjoyed this project!

Should Students Play Games (software) in school?

Yes, I do believe that students should play games in school. Playing games teaches students patience (waiting in line for your turn), how to focus (comprehending what is going on) and how to be competitive. Playing games in school is also used as a different style of teaching a subject. Of course we have text books but some students may need more than just sitting down reading books. You have to accommodate the different learning styles in while teaching. There are many educational games/software that students can utilize in their daily learning. I find that when children have competition they tend to want to do and learn more.Games can enhance a students motivation to learn. We need more computers in our schools to enhance the child's ability to want more, to compete more, to succeed and gain further knowledge.
